The loose brushwork, vivid color palette, and wonderfully naïve style give the painting a playful, one-of-a-kind character.

The artwork is especially striking in its unusual dark-stained, hand-carved rustic wooden frame, featuring layered, intersecting wood elements and carved foliate details. A narrow distressed gilt inner frame provides an unexpected touch of elegance and beautifully contrasts with the primitive outer frame.

The reverse shows an aged wood backing, simple wire hanger, and hand-constructed frame, adding to the piece’s appealing vintage folk-art character. Natural wear and irregularities throughout are consistent with age and enhance its wonderfully collected appearance.

A delightful little statement piece—perfect for a coastal interior, gallery wall, beach house, or anywhere that could use a touch of colorful, quirky charm. See less
