Add an elite piece of Scandinavian design history to your collection with this rare, authentic 1950s Swedish art glass teardrop bud vase. Masterfully hand-blown at the historic Kosta glassworks in Sweden, this architectural piece was designed in 1959 by the iconic glass pioneer Vicke Lindstrand.
The heavy, high-brilliance clear crystal body encases an incredible, moody abstract "Colora" or "Sommerso" matrix of sweeping sapphire teal and rich amber-brown glass threads. This intricate ribbon mesh creates an evolving, multi-dimensional display that shifts dynamically depending on how light hits the angles of the vase. Boasting a striking organic teardrop profile narrowing into a sleek, delicate neck, it stands as a true statement piece for a modernist mantel, a curated teak sideboard, or a high-end display cabinet.
