Add a touch of classic European elegance to your gallery wall or tabletop with this stunning mid-century decorative plaque from Florence, Italy. Hand-painted by the artisanal studio Ba Ro, this piece beautifully captures the dramatic trompe-l'œil effect of traditional Italian pietra dura (hardstone inlay).
The vibrant artwork depicts a lush, classical still life overflowing with stone-textured fruits, nested inside a brilliant lapis lazuli-style urn. The composition rests upon a striking amethyst and white marble checkered plinth, all framed beautifully by a deep faux-malachite green border.
Retaining its original blue diamond artisan workshop label on the reverse ("Hand Painted - Ba Ro - Firenze"), this piece is a wonderful example of mid-to-late 20th-century Florentine souvenir craft. Perfect for Grand Tour-inspired interiors, Hollywood Regency styling, or traditional spaces.
