This miniature hand-blown globe or "pocket" bud vase utilizes multiple iconic Venetian techniques to produce a mesmerizing layer of depth. The core of the vase features a rich, deep burgundy wine tone. This inner layer is heavily infused with shimmering copper or gold aventurine flecks that catch the light beautifully. The radiant core is then cased inside a thick outer jacket of smoky gray glass treated with the historic pulegoso method. This process traps thousands of tiny, frothy micro-bubbles within the glass wall, contrasting the rough, effervescent texture of the exterior with the brilliant, glittering metallic suspension inside.
The vase is beautifully finished with a flat, ground, and polished smooth pontil scar on the base, verifying its authentic handmade pedigree. Unsigned as is common for smaller luxury gift pieces of this era that originally bore paper distribution labels (such as those from Murano Cenedese or Fratelli Toso).
