A set of six crystal glasses made of colored lead crystal is an example of precise French glasswork from the second half of the 20th century.

The glasses come from the production of the Les Grands Ducs manufactory in the Lorraine region, which specialized in handmade and hand-cut crystal of the highest quality. The crystal used contains 24% PbO, which ensures exceptional clarity, high shine and a characteristic sparkle, thanks to which the glass captures and refracts light significantly more than ordinary glass. Lead crystal is also more substantial, which gives the glasses a pleasant feeling of stability and luxury when held. The glasses are made in various color shades, which together form a harmonious and decorative whole. The surface is decorated with rich hand-cut with star, geometric and stylized plant motifs, complemented by faceted details on the edge of the glass. All cutting surfaces are carefully polished to highlight the depth of the cut and the play of light from every angle. Elegant, slender legs made of clear crystal smoothly transition into stable feet. The original production labels are preserved on the underside, confirming the origin, hand-craftedness and quality of the material. The set is in very good vintage condition, without cracks, dents or visible damage. The glasses are suitable for both ceremonial dining and as a representative collector's item. Due to the lead content, it is recommended to avoid long-term storage of drinks.
