The plate impresses with its distinctive color painting in shades of yellow, ochre, green, orange and blue on a light glazed background. The decoration is made in a free, lively style and combines plant motifs, stylized flowers, palmette leaves and decorative ornamental lines. The surface of the plate features a rich composition with large green leaf motifs, yellow and orange flowers and a blue-yellow edge. The painting has a typical folk decorative character, as seen in Dutch ceramics of the 18th century. The whole looks very fresh, colorful and decorative, while retaining an authentic antique expression. The plate is hand-painted, which is evident from the free brushstroke, minor irregularities in the drawing and natural color variations. The back side is left without decoration, with a light glaze and traces of age. Thanks to its larger diameter of 33.5 cm, this is a distinctive piece suitable for hanging on the wall, displaying in a display case or as part of a collection of historical ceramics. The condition corresponds to its age and use. The surface shows fine craquelure of the glaze, minor abrasions, local loss of glaze, minor chips on the edge, impurities in the glaze structure and natural manufacturing imperfections. These signs are common in faience ceramics from the 18th century and underline its authenticity and historical character.
