Weighing approximately 4 lb. 2 oz., the pitcher features a dense arrangement of deeply wheel-cut hobstars, crosshatching, diamonds, fans and geometric motifs. Broad polished cuts sweep across the upper body and pronounced pouring spout, while a radiant starburst decorates the underside of the base. The applied loop handle is finished with polished notch cutting.

The remarkable weight, clarity, brilliance and prismatic light play are characteristic of quality lead crystal. Its generous proportions and dramatic cutting make it equally suited to formal table service, barware display or use as a decorative flower vase.

The pitcher is unmarked; therefore, the manufacturer, precise origin and production date remain unknown. It is conservatively described as vintage American Brilliant–style crystal rather than attributed to the original American Brilliant Period.
