A lovely boxed set of eight handmade Belgian linen cocktail napkins, circa 1950s, made for K. Katen & Co. Inc. of Fifth Avenue, New York, under the Keepsake Belgian Linens label.
White pure linen is framed by delicate ecru cotton lace, with an elaborate openwork corner motif that brings an elegant finishing touch to cocktails, afternoon tea, or a thoughtfully arranged bar cart. Their traditional European character complements French Provincial and English country tables, with an aesthetic affinity to the fine linens of Léron and Schweitzer Linen and the layered entertaining style associated with Sister Parish.
Preserved unused in their original box with the original label and ribbon.
Each napkin measures approximately 8.5" × 6". Linen fabric with all-cotton lace, made in Belgium.
This listing is for one boxed set of eight napkins. Two boxed sets are available, sold separately. Napkins are new old stock and unused; original boxes show age and storage wear.
