An impressive First Czechoslovak Republic art glass vase dating from 1930, distinguished by its substantial proportions, rich emerald-green colour and elaborate figurative decoration.
Made from thick-walled green glass, the vase is decorated with an exceptional raised, hand-painted gold composition inspired by Don Quijote. The detailed figurative scenes are surrounded by ornamental motifs, creating a striking contrast against the deep green glass.
The combination of the intense green colour, substantial glass construction and extensive gold decoration gives the vase a particularly luxurious and decorative appearance characteristic of the interwar period of the First Czechoslovak Republic.
with an impressive height of 31 cm and a broad 22 cm rim, this is a substantial statement piece with a strong presence when displayed on its own.
A distinctive example of Czechoslovak decorative glass from the First Republic period, combining traditional glass craftsmanship with elaborate hand-painted figurative decoration.
