These highly rare lounge chairs represent an exceptional and little documented chapter in Brazilian modern furniture, created by Ernesto Hauner during the formative years of postwar design in São Paulo. While often overshadowed by more widely published contemporaries, Ernesto Hauner played a significant role in shaping the early identity of Forma Móveis, contributing designs that combined architectural clarity with a refined understanding of comfort and proportion. The chairs are defined by a compelling dialogue between mass and line. The upholstered body appears compact and sculptural, with softly contoured surfaces that envelop the sitter. This sense of volume is counterbalanced by the slender black metal frame, which traces the perimeter of the chair in a continuous, angular gesture. The frame functions not merely as support but as a graphic element, articulating the structure and giving the design a sense of lightness and precision. The result is a chair that feels grounded yet visually open. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
