Solid brass table lamp, Italian, circa 1960s. A restrained modernist piece with a generous hemispheric dome shade topped by a slender brass finial. The base and tapered stem employ segmented construction, a detail that adds visual interest without ornamentation. The brass retains an even, warm patina—maintained throughout without heavy oxidation.
The shade lifts cleanly to reveal straightforward interior fittings and clean mounting work. Everything speaks to honest, purposeful design from its era. Fully functional with original period cord and in-line switch. No issues with the electrics.
Height 43 cm. Dome diameter 28 cm.
The lamp as can be seen has some light Ines on the brass and the shade has some small imperfections at the top near the finial.
The lamp is fitted for two general E14 lightbulbs
The original plug has been replaced.
A solid, unfussy lamp that works in contemporary or period interiors alike.
