It features a simple structure with straight lines and fluted, truncated-conical legs, finished with gilt bronze appliqués. The piece boasts meticulous applied decoration, combining classically inspired elements with porcelain plaques decorated with small floral motifs, arranged along the waist. It also features exquisite marquetry work. The piece reflects the historicist taste for the revival of 18th-century decorative styles, particularly French Louis XVI furniture, reinterpreted during the last third of the 19th century.

It retains its original spring system, and the cushion is in good condition, although it could be reupholstered if a more modern look is desired. The frame is in good overall condition, and the piece is particularly solid and heavy. There are a few minor imperfections in some of the decorative details, easily identifiable in the photographs, which do not significantly detract from the overall aesthetic appeal or decorative quality of the bench. Ideal for placing in an entryway as a place to sit while putting on shoes, or at the foot of the bed. A versatile bench suitable for any room.
