designed by marian grabinski, the "mtp" bookcase is made of oak and combines a large open section, divided into two sections with adjustable shelves, with a deeper lower section housing two drawers with integrated sockets. The "mtp" was created in the early 1960s as a wedding gift for ingvar kamprad, founder of ikea, and was later developed by grabinski into a larger family of coordinated furniture, sharing the same rational concept and the ability to organize space according to different needs. The open base with square legs lightens the proportions of the piece and completes a minimalist design, representative of the polish designer's functional approach.
