A distinctive element of the design is the decorative finial made of a bent brass rod, forming an abstract, linear ornament with an organic pattern.

The mirror panel is divided by delicate lines into geometric sections that create a subtle surface decoration and lend rhythm to the composition. The juxtaposition of the panel’s regular geometry with the fluid, almost sketch-like form of the finial represents a characteristic fusion of modernist discipline and decorative artistry.

This piece belongs to a group of mirrors produced by Münchner Zierspiegel of Munich, a German manufacturer specializing in decorative wall mirrors. Surviving examples of this production date primarily from the 1950s and 1960s and are characterized by the use of brass frames and decorative finials.

The form of the piece presented here fits well within the aesthetic of German Mid-Century Modern, combining the simplicity of a geometric shape with ornamental detail. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
