An absolute classic!
Simple, Swedish design
Design classic
Nisse Strinning designed his famous shelving system in 1949. It was produced in his own company, String Design AB, in Sweden.
This glass-fronted display cabinet with sliding doors and two shelves fits perfectly with the String shelving system—whether it's actually part of the system and whether its design and manufacture are also attributable to String Design AB in Sweden, we can't say for sure.
In any case, it's a perfect match in terms of size and veneer and is a great addition to the modular wall shelving system. (See last pictures.)
The display cabinet is in good original condition with some signs of age: wear and tear on the surface.
