The composition combines geometric construction with organic botanical and animal motifs, creating a distinctive example of czechoslovak mid-century modern decorative design. Zukov was a czechoslovak metalworks manufacturer known for modernist metal products during this period. A particularly unusual feature is the arrangement of the three fish: each fish can be freely repositioned within the framework, allowing the owner to create different compositions. This gives the screen an element of interaction rarely found in conventional decorative room dividers. The tall rectangular structure can function as a room divider, freestanding decorative screen, architectural accent or large-scale wall sculpture. Its combination of black metal, green botanical forms and gold-tone fish makes it particularly effective as a statement piece in mid-century modern, czechoslovak modern, brussels style, retro or eclectic interiors.
