The proportions are particularly compact, measuring only 37 cm in width and depth, making the stool versatile as an occasional seat, side table, plant stand or decorative accent. The piece represents the continuation of the classic Thonet bentwood tradition, which was widely produced throughout Central Europe during the early 20th century. Comparable Thonet stools from the 1920s are documented as Czechoslovak production and in similar dimensions.
