designed by torbjørn afdal in the early 1960s, the "krobo" bench is one of the most iconic designs from the norwegian designer's collaboration with bruksbo. The long rosewood top, supported by two frame legs, is accompanied by the original matching record rack, divided into four compartments and freely positionable along the surface. The record rack measures 35 × 35 × 34.5 cm (w × h × d). The "krobo" was conceived as a flexible system that could be combined with various storage elements, including modules for records and hi-fi equipment. Produced by mellemstrands trevareindustri, it demonstrates the functional and versatile approach afdal developed for bruksbo in the postwar norwegian design scene. The original label "mellemstrands trevareindustri – bruksbo modell – made in norway" is present. Good condition. May show signs of wear. Please look carefully at the photographs.
