The composition traces major and minor branches including Protestantism, Islam, Greek and Russian schisms, early Christian sects, monastic orders, missionary movements, councils, and numerous theological traditions, with a densely detailed central trunk documenting the chronology of the papacy. A map of Europe and the Mediterranean forms the roots of the tree, while symbolic figures, clouds, and a radiant sun complete the upper composition. Printed in black on aged paper and mounted to a stiff linen backing, the piece combines educational cartography, religious history, and intricate graphic design.
