Frederick Cooper ginger jar table lamp in purple-blue chevron art pottery, mounted on a brass base. Harp included; no shade. 30 inches high.
The chevron pattern — sharp, rhythmic zigzags in glazed purple-blue — gives this piece its graphic punch, Cooper dressing a traditional ginger-jar form in a bold, modern pattern.
A strong single for a console, bookcase, or bedside table, with the scale to hold its own in a composed vignette. The purple-blue palette pairs naturally with brass, lacquer, and jewel tones
