Handcrafted from solid beechwood, the set combines elegant corbeille forms, richly carved frames and newly upholstered blue floral damask.
The solid beechwood frames display classic Louis XVI Revival details, including gracefully curved backs, carved floral ornamentation and balanced neoclassical proportions. The complete set was professionally restored several months ago, including refinishing of the frames in a warm antique-gold tone.
The sofa and four bergères were also fitted with new padding and newly upholstered in a high-quality blue floral damask, woven from a silk-and-cotton blend. The soft blue textile creates an elegant contrast with the antique-gold frames and gives the suite a refined, romantic appearance.
The generous proportions of the bergère chairs provide comfortable seating, while the substantial three-seater sofa forms an impressive centerpiece. Together, the five pieces create a cohesive arrangement for a formal living room, salon, sitting room, grand bedroom or luxury hospitality interior.
