This elegant small scale side table is distinguished by its refined restraint and subtle decorative sophistication. Crafted in warm-toned wood, the piece features two drawers with simple round brass knobs, elevated on slender, tapered squeared legs that lend it a light, architectural presence.
What sets the table apart is the trompe-l’œil inlaid decoration flanking the drawers. Executed in contrasting wood tones, these geometric inlays create the illusion of three-dimensional carved elements. The effect is both graphic and architectural, adding a quiet visual complexity without disrupting the table’s overall simplicity. An understated inlaid border also appears on the top.

Structurally, the piece is solid and stands securely on its elegant, tapered legs. It features two drawers that open smoothly with original hardware. It shows minor, expected signs of age, such as gentle surface wear around the drawer pulls, light scuffs around the lower legs, and minor color variations on the wooden top, which add to its authentic vintage character without detracting from its overall aesthetic or function.
