The lamp is composed of a central humanoid figure with a stylized, mask-like face, large ears, and a broad, flat-topped head that supports a large, shallow circular oil pan. The figure's arms are bent at the elbows, and perched on each shoulder is a small, stylized bird. The figure stands atop a base formed by two addorsed mythical beasts (likely tigers or dragons), with their heads facing outward and their bodies covered in intricate, incised scrollwork. The bronze exhibits a heavy, natural patina with a mottled blend of dark brown, deep green, and blue-green verdigris. The interior of the oil pan shows a rich, encrusted oxidation. This is a highly decorative and collectible piece inspired by ancient Chinese bronze forms.
