Each figure depicts a young Buddhist novice monk standing in a serene, contemplative pose. They feature smooth, bald heads, gentle facial expressions with downcast eyes, and flowing, draped monastic robes. The figures are subtly varied: one stands with arms folded across the chest, another with hands clasped in front, and the third with one hand resting gently on the other. The wood has a rich, warm, honey-brown tone with a fine, polished grain, and a natural patina that highlights the delicate carving. The undersides of the bases reveal the raw wood grain and are carved with a scalloped edge. This is a refined and peaceful set, ideal for a scholar's desk, meditation space, or as a collector's item.
