A handsome mid-century Continental wooden tobacco box with a warm figured-wood exterior and a fitted interior designed for organized storage and presentation.
The rectangular box features a richly patterned veneer panel on the lid, framed by a lighter contrasting border, with a small brass-tone pull at center. Inside, a hinged slotted wooden rack lifts upright to reveal the lower storage compartment, which is lined in green felt. The rack creates a particularly appealing architectural interior and gives the piece a strong gentleman’s desk or library feel.
Unmarked; country of origin is not identified, so the piece is best described as Continental European.
