The animal stands foursquare on sturdy legs with hoof-like feet, its head raised and turned slightly to one side, featuring a distinct horn on its snout, curled ears, and a raised tail. The body is intricately decorated with incised, archaic-style scrollwork and cloud motifs, adding a rich layer of texture. The bronze exhibits a heavy, aged patina with a mottled blend of dark brown, reddish-brown, and green tones, with traces of gold leaf (tuo jin) highlighting the raised details and the incised patterns. This is a substantial and characterful piece, ideal for a collector of Asian bronze animals.
