Crafted from a heavy, dark metal (often referred to as "thokcha" or meteorite iron in Tibetan culture), the mould displays a beautiful, aged patina with remnants of gold gilding.

The central figure of Tsongkhapa is seated in a meditative pose, holding two lotus stems that support a sword and a book—his traditional iconographic attributes. He is surrounded by an elaborate backdrop of clouds and foliage, with two smaller attendant figures seated below him, along with offerings including a dharma wheel and ritual vessels.

This piece would have been used to press clay into small votive tablets (tsha tshas) for religious merit. Today, it serves as a powerful and serene decorative object, perfect for a meditation space, an altar, or as a striking piece of Himalayan art for collectors. It is in good antique condition with significant wear, patina, and oxidation consistent with its age and ritual use. See less
