Discover the charm of ancient Chinese ingenuity with this vintage wooden puzzle box. Crafted from dark, richly grained wood (likely rosewood or similar hardwood), this rectangular box features a traditional "Lu Ban" hidden lock mechanism.
The lid is beautifully decorated with an intricate relief carving of a traditional landscape or figural scene, flanked by two vibrant, bezel-set turquoise (or green jade) cabochons. The box is designed to be opened by manipulating a secret sliding mechanism, making it not only a functional storage box but also a fascinating brain teaser and decorative object.
It is perfect for storing jewelry, small keepsakes, or as a unique conversation piece on a desk or shelf. This piece is in good vintage condition with a lovely aged patina and minor wear consistent with age.
