Elevate your tea ritual with this stunning vintage tea caddy. Crafted from copper with a silver-plated finish, this cylindrical canister showcases intricate, high-relief repoussé work featuring traditional Chinese motifs.
The exterior is beautifully decorated with swirling dragons and a phoenix, symbols of power, harmony, and good fortune. It is further embellished with vibrant, bezel-set turquoise (or green jade) cabochons and floral accents, adding a pop of color against the aged silver tone. The lid features a geometric, triangular pattern with a central turquoise stone.
While originally designed as a trinket or offering box, its size (2.5 inches in diameter and height) and shape make it an ideal, airtight-ish container for storing loose-leaf tea, tea bags, or small tea accessories. It also functions perfectly as a luxurious decorative jar for a vanity or kitchen counter.
This piece is in good vintage condition with a lovely patina that speaks to its age and adds to its antique charm.
