This is a beautifully decorated vintage Chinese enamel brush pot (bitong), crafted in the style of the Qing dynasty. The cylindrical body features a vibrant turquoise ground adorned with intricate, hand-painted gilt scrolling vine patterns and small floral sprays. The main body presents two large, framed cartouches with a white ground: one depicts a delicate scene of pink and red blossoms (likely plum and peony) with a butterfly, while the other shows a graceful branch of purple magnolia with butterflies. The top and bottom rims are decorated with colorful lappet bands in blue, red, and white. The interior is finished in a solid, bright turquoise enamel. This piece is a fine example of Chinese enamelware, combining excellent craftsmanship with elegant, auspicious motifs.
