Jeremy Miranda is an abstract expressionist painter from Maine who creates oil paintings on cradled wood based on local, quotidian scenes. This sunset, influenced by Turner, shows Miranda’s mastery of light and color. Signed on recto and en verso. Sourced directly from the artist. New, hand-painted linen mat in vintage gold, ornate wood frame, hand-carved and ready to hang. The frame is its own work of art and was sourced from the New Mexico estate of a prominent art collector. It is hand-carved in the French Louis XIV style.

William Turner was an English Romantic painter and is regarded as one of the greatest British painters of the 19th century. His expressive renditions of light and atmosphere and bold use of color in landscape painting inspired the early impressionists Monet and Pissarro.

A rare, masterful piece. It would coordinate well with the two Mary Veiga after Turner paintings in the shop. Thank you for your interest. Please message me with any questions. See less
