These appear to be hand carved wood with an old gilt surface showing wonderful age and patina. The openwork supports have deeply carved scrolling decoration and a central foliate drop. The shaped upper shelves retain their old gilded finish and each bracket has old metal hanging hardware on the reverse.

Possibly Italian or Continental European in origin. Exact age and origin are unknown.

Measurements: Each is approximately 11” high x 11” wide x 6” deep.

Condition: Antique estate condition with considerable age and use. There are age cracks and separations, rubbing and losses to the gilded/gesso surface, exposed wood in areas, small chips and other typical age wear. One bracket has a noticeable loss to one of the upper curved/scroll elements, as shown in the photographs. The open central areas also appear to have possibly held additional decorative elements that are now missing. There are old holes, mounting points and evidence of previous use. Please review all photographs carefully for construction and condition.
