In so doing he has distributed the paint in a unique way as to create sharp divisions of peaks and valleys. He has mixed his acrylic paints to create what appears to be a city of cityscapes using only his paints and pallet knife. There are shades of yellow's with hints of black to highlight this vision of a dreamscape. The paints are cleverly raised in areas and flattened shades of yellow as well, creating what appears to be a heightened dream-like landscape using just his pallet knife. When you enlarge the photos you will see the artist use of color and highlights more clearly. The artist name, title and date in pencil in the top of the canvas wooden stretcher. It's what's called Beatnik Art in the 1950s and 60s. The canvas has been constructed in a shadow-box style on the canvas stretched folding the canvas over the ends of the wooden stretcher, making a wooden frame unnecessary. See less
