this elegant and cleanly shaped floor lamp in the mid-century design spirit dates from the 1960s in czechoslovakia and bears the signature of the famous manufacturer úluv – ústředí lidové umělecké výroby. The architectural concept of the entire lighting fixture is built upon a slender, turned load-bearing rod made of beech wood, which rises from a central circular base supported by four slender, slightly splayed legs ensuring perfect stability and visual lightness. The top of the lamp is fitted with a shaped lampshade providing pleasant and evenly diffused illumination. This harmonious interplay of quality natural wood and clean geometric lines lends the object timeless visual dynamics, elegance, and the characteristic touch of czechoslovak post-war design.
