Made from rich dark hardwood (assuming mahogany), this piece stands on elegant ring-turned spindle legs tied by a robust H-stretcher. Features the authentic maker's mark and serial number from Brooks Ltd of London on the underside of the stool. Established in 1810, Brooks was the premier British firm celebrated for engineering the finest patented iron gear mechanisms of the 19th century.
