An exceptional and highly collectible piece of authentic 1950s Mid-Century Modern theatrical wall decor. This striking, metal-housed shadowbox features a reverse-painted glass panel depicting a beautifully detailed exotic silhouette figure holding a vessel. Set against a serene backdrop of architectural domes and swaying tropical palms, the multi-layered layout creates a captivating three-dimensional diorama effect.
Finished in a vibrant, period-correct teal-green enameled metal frame with gold accents, this accent piece doubles as a functional ambient light source. It is equipped with two working light sockets—one at the top and one at the bottom—that project a dramatic, floating glow through the hand-painted translucent details.
A quintessential example of the mid-century obsession with tropical and exotic escapism. Perfect for an eclectic gallery wall, tiki bar lounge, or an authentic retro vignette.
