Exceptional vintage set of four (4) German ceramic wine chalices crafted in West Germany by Simon Peter Gerz (Gerzit). This set perfectly blends traditional Bavarian style with mid-century stoneware charm.
Each chalice gestures a rich, glossy cobalt blue glaze accented by beautifully embossed, relief-molded patterns of grape clusters and sprawling grape vines wrapping around the stem and lower bowl. The center of each vessel displays a vibrant, detailed decorative decal commemorating Munich's historic Marienplatz (1) and Hofbrauhaus (3), capturing the iconic architecture of Bavaria.
The underside bears the official post-WWII circular ink backstamp W. Germany Original Gerzit Gerz (faded on 2 of the chalices). This specific stamp dates the production of this set primarily between the 1960s and 1980s. 5.5" x 3.5"
