This is a charming vintage Chinese snuff bottle, crafted from Liuli (traditional Chinese glass) in the sculptural form of a standing fish. The piece is vividly painted with a yellow-green head, a body covered in graduated blue-green scales, and vibrant red fins and tail. It rests on a base modelled as a cluster of coins and waves, adding to its auspicious symbolism. The bottle is topped with a red stone or glass stopper with a metal collar and a spoon. The underside shows the hollow body of the vessel. It is a colorful and well-detailed collector's item.
