This is an exquisite vintage Tibetan bronze stupa, also known as a chorten, crafted from gilt copper with vibrant polychrome painted details. The piece follows the traditional stepped architectural form, featuring a square base with tiered levels, a domed middle section housing a small niche, and a tall, tapering spire topped with a jewel finial. The surface is richly decorated with intricate repoussé and engraved motifs, and embellished with inlaid gemstones in red, green, and blue. The stupa is a sacred Buddhist symbol representing the mind of the Buddha, and this example is a finely detailed decorative object.
