This is an impressive vintage Chinese bronze censer, featuring a highly detailed pierced lid and a tripod stand. The body is intricately cast with dragon and phoenix motifs, along with stylized cloud and wave patterns, all finished with a rich, dark brown patina. The domed lid is surmounted by a finial flanked by two bird figures, and the base is supported by three tall, ornate legs. The piece is designed to hold incense, with the pierced lid allowing smoke to escape. It is a substantial and well-crafted decorative object.
