Circa 1940 Queen Anne–Style Mahogany Highboy Chest with 7 Dovetailed Drawers
An elegant vintage highboy chest dating to approximately the 1940s, beautifully proportioned in the Queen Anne tradition and distinguished by its graceful cabriole legs, shaped apron, warm mahogany finish, and delicate brass-tone hardware.
Standing an impressive 55 inches tall while measuring just 34 inches wide, this seven-drawer chest offers substantial storage within a remarkably refined footprint. Its tall, architectural silhouette makes it especially well suited to a primary bedroom, guest suite, dressing room, or sophisticated entry where both beauty and function are desired.
The craftsmanship is evident throughout. Seven generously sized drawers feature traditional dovetail joinery and solid wood drawer components, while the case retains the substantial moldings, wood back construction, and handsome proportions characteristic of quality American furniture of the period.
