The eagles perch on a ring of rams' heads, left darker against the brighter bronze, above a triangular plinth with concave sides, scrolled corners with rosettes, and panels of palmette and scrolling decoration. It stands on three lion paw feet over a shaped white marble base. The bronze has mellowed with age. See less
