Hand-pulled limited edition serigraph by John Kiraly, pencil-signed lower right and hand-numbered 218/250 lower left. Sold and framed by Wentworth Gallery (gallery and framer's labels on the back).
Kiraly's dreamlike Mediterranean scene in a dramatic tall format: a whitewashed villa perches on a sea cliff under a deep cobalt sky with a fluttering gold pennant. Below, a wrought-iron gate between white pillars opens onto a terrace with a blue-draped bistro table and pink chairs, a glittering mosaic grotto fountain with a bronze cherub, stone stairs, a Corinthian column, agave, prickly pear and lush greenery, with the turquoise sea and distant mountains beyond. Cobalt and turquoise with white, green and pops of pink.
Presented in a cream mat with gilt fillet and a black-and-gold rope-twist frame, under glazing. Paper dust cover on the back.
Condition note: the frame may have some fine surface scratches consistent with age.
Part of a matching group of Kiraly serigraphs also available in our shop.
Framed dimensions: 36" W x 55" H x 1.25" D.
