This one-of-a-kind Christmas stocking is hand-altered from an authentic vintage Turkish rug, hand-knotted in wool circa the 1970s-1980s. The cuff features a dark brown and tan geometric diamond pattern, opening into a quiet beige-tan field, with a bold dark navy-gray circular medallion and tan and blue-gray accents near the toe.
The pile has been trimmed low by hand, revealing the fine hand-knotted construction beneath, and the raw edges are neatly finished with overlock stitching to prevent fraying. A cord loop is attached at the top for easy hanging.
Measurements: approximately 12.2" W x 17.3" L, with a cuff width of about 6".
As with all vintage textiles, this stocking carries natural character from its original life as a rug — subtle color variation, gentle wear, and the kind of patina that only comes with age. Each piece is cut from a different rug, so no two stockings are exactly alike.
A striking, understated way to bring authentic vintage Turkish textile craftsmanship to a traditional or rustic-styled mantel, fireplace display, or holiday console table this season.

Hand-knotted wool pile has been trimmed short by hand; colors show the natural muting typical of a vintage rug rather than a newly dyed textile. Cut edges are finished with overlock stitching to prevent fraying — no raw or unfinished seams. Structurally sound with no holes, tears, or repairs. Hanging loop securely attached. Minor natural variation in pile height and color is inherent to the hand-altered, one-of-a-kind nature of the piece and is not a defect. less
