19th century Danish chest of four drawers, crafted in pine with a warm wax finish that highlights the natural color … Read more 19th century Danish chest of four drawers, crafted in pine with a warm wax finish that highlights the natural color and aged character of the wood. The top has gently curved front corners and a softly curved front edge, complementing the balanced form of the chest.
Four paneled drawers provide generous storage and are fitted with newer brass hardware with lions head detail. Slightly canted front corners are accented with simple decorative carved trim, while rounded front block feet support the chest.
Age related marks and some cracking are visible along the top. Separation between the planks runs vertically along the left side, with an additional vertical crack along the right side. Nicks and wear are visible around the feet, with scratches, small cracks, and additional nicks throughout. Residual signs of old dried wormhole activity are visible in various areas (including top) but are no longer active and do not impact function.
Restored, stable, waxed, and ready to use.
