A smart and beautifully made original antique Victorian bentwood hatstand. This was made in central Europe, most likely in Austria, around the 1890-1910 period.
It is of superb quality, with six beautifully curved supports on the top for coats and hats. The base is designed to support umbrellas and walking sticks. The top is fitted on a peg, it can rotate and be lifted off for transport.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent overall condition for its age.
