Pair of tall, cream-white porcelain "Capodimonte-style" candlesticks, a decorative revival that echoed 18th-century Neapolitan porcelain forms with raised acanthus leaf and scrolling foliate relief.
Flared, leaf-cast candle cup
Banded waist decorated with a continuous scroll motif
Stepped, gently-shaped square base
Hand-applied gilt trim bands mark each transition
The undersides are stamped with a partial maker's or importer's mark reading "FOR F.B. ITALY"
The glaze shows fine crackle/craze lines consistent with genuine age. Once candlestick has a repair near the bottom of the taper. Gilt trim is in great condition.
