The tall silhouette is framed by a floral-carved upper border and geometric frieze, with graduated drawer fronts, brass hardware, an elaborate foliate apron, and cabriole legs with carved ornament. An original factory production label survives on the reverse and identifies the piece as a “Mahog Chest,” with period construction specifications including five-ply gumwood substrate and figured mahogany veneer. Presented in its existing finish with scratches, rubbing, finish variation, and other honest wear consistent with age and use; additional photographs document the construction, labels, and condition.
