Victorian pickle castor, Model No. 4624, with a molded figural glass liner, fitted silver-plated lid, ornate swing frame, and serving tongs.

Made by Wilcox Silver Plate Co. of Meriden, Connecticut, this castor dates to approximately 1880–1895. The silver-plated frame features elaborate Victorian floral and scrollwork decoration, a pierced swing handle, and a decorated pedestal base.

The clear glass liner has molded and embossed decoration, including a central oval figural scene depicting a woman with a winged child, surrounded by beaded and ornamental borders. The glass has a substantial ribbed base that complements the elaborate silver-plated frame.

The castor is approximately 11 inches high and is accompanied by a pair of decorative serving tongs.
