A striking pair of Chinese Cloisonné enamel Pixiu figures. These mythical creatures, traditionally believed to attract wealth and ward off evil, are depicted in a crouching pose. The bodies are brightly enameled in a turquoise ground and decorated with colorful scrolling floral and cloud motifs. The heads, manes, and tails feature intricate bronze detailing with a rich patina. Each figure wears a chest harness featuring a round medallion, one with the character "财" (Wealth) and the other "进宝" (Bringing in Treasure). A wonderful set for display or as a collectible.
